Welcome to My World

This is my first post in a blog that I hope to use for my crafting adventures, photographs, etc. Right now I'm mostly knitting with a few forays back into counted cross stitch and beading.

The picture is a close-up of the afghan that my sister and I made, in separate squares, in separate states.

You buy books? Oh goody! I write books! In fact, the first one comes out soon. Knitting magic, with a pattern included for self-heating mittens. Would you care to consider it?

Welcome to the blogosphere!

Are all of those knitted blocks all connected? Sort of like a quilt? That's neat.

Hi all - yes, Joe, we knitted all the individual squares, then put them in a sequence, then sewed them together, first in horizontal strips, then sewing the strips together (using yarn and a big needle.) It worked amazingly well considering all the different patterns we used and the different sizes that things do turn out in!
